Neoen acknowledges the Nukunu & Ngadjuri people, Traditional Owners of the land on which Hornsdale Wind Farm harvests the energy of the wind. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

The Hornsdale Wind Farm was the first wind farm in Australia to be built across multiple stages, with each stage separately project financed.

The project was constructed across three stages from 2015. The first two stages each included 32 Siemens 3.2MW wind turbines. Stage three added an additional 35 Siemens wind turbines to achieve a total installed capacity of 315MW.

Taking this approach allowed the efficient construction of a large project which ultimately led to the project achieving record-low pricing, while also supporting a large local workforce over many years.
