NEOEN TO HANDOVER WIND FARM TO ATMOS RENEWABLES
Neoen has decided to transfer ownership of our 316 MW Hornsdale Wind Farm to Igneo Infrastructure Partners, whose Australian renewables company called Atmos Renewables, has had a minority interest in the asset since 2020.
We expect that Atmos Renewables will fully integrate the wind farm in its portfolio by end of 2025, and we will work closely with all project stakeholders to facilitate a smooth handover.
This was Neoen’s first wind project in Australia so it will always have a special place in our story here. We are deeply grateful to the genuine partnership we have built with our host landowners, the communities living in and around Jamestown and Gladstone, the Northern Areas Council, our operations team as well as stakeholders in the ACT Government and South Australian Government. Hornsdale Wind Farm has allowed us to deliver a lot of positive impact – not just to South Australia’s energy transition but also in the state’s Mid North region through its community benefit-sharing program. We are proud to have been its owner and operator.
Neoen will continue to own and operate the Hornsdale Power Reserve, so we will remain dedicated to the project communities and Australia’s decarbonisation journey from the asset neighbouring the wind farm.
