INAUGURATION OF THE RENEWABLE ENERGY SKILLS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

On October 30th, during the Renewable Energy Day in the presence of Minister Simon Corbell, the Renewable Energy Skills Centre of Excellence (RESCOE) was inaugurated.

Established as a joint initiative of the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT), Neoen and the Hornsdale Wind Farm, the RESCOE will offer students from across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region a focused, rigorous and practical course that will equip them with the technical skills necessary for a rewarding career in the growing renewable energy industry.

30 to 40 students will study in the program each year encouraged by the student bursaries and rental supplement funding that the
Centre will be able to offer, by drawing on substantial annual contributions from the Hornsdale project.
