May Construction Update
On October 30th, during the Renewable Energy Day in the presence of Minister Simon Corbell, the Renewable Energy Skills Centre of Excellence (RESCOE) was inaugurated. Established as a joint initiative of the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT), Neoen and the Hornsdale Wind Farm, the RESCOE will offer students from across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region a focused, rigorous and practical course that will equip them with the technical skills necessary for a rewarding career in the growing renewable energy industry. 30 [...]
Construction has recently started for the first stage of the wind farm. The office compound is now nearly operational, and some of the council roads are being upgraded to allow for the arrival of the longest shipments later in 2016. Throughout the end of the year road upgrades and hardstand preparations will continue. The first turbines are expected to arrive on site in Q2 2016.
