Inauguration of the Renewable Energy Skills Centre of Excellence

On October 30th, during the Renewable Energy Day in the presence of Minister Simon Corbell, the Renewable Energy Skills Centre of Excellence (RESCOE) was inaugurated. Construction of Stage 1 has started

Construction has recently started for the first stage of the wind farm. The office compound is now nearly operational, and some of the council roads are being upgraded to allow for the arrival of the longest shipments later in 2016. Throughout the end of the year road upgrades and hardstand preparations will continue. The first turbines are expected to arrive on site in Q2 2016.

HWF reaches Financial Close on August 19th

Stage 1 of the Hornsdale Wind Farm has secured a long-term debt financing package with two European banks, Société Générale and KfW. Financial close is the latest significant milestone for the Hornsdale project, following the signing of the engineering, procurement and construction contract with Siemens last week. Approval of the Offset Management Plan and Scientific Monitoring and Research Plan

HWF wins 100MW Power Supply Agreement in ACT Wind Auction

Neoen and Megawatt Capital are proud to announce that the Hornsdale Wind Farm has been chosen by the ACT government as the main successful bidder of the ACT Wind Auction Program.This auction attracted 18 proponents for a overall capacity of 200MW, out of which Neoen has secured a tranche of 100MW. Community dinner in Jamestown

On the 17th September 2014, Neoen and Megawatt Capital organised a community dinner in Jamestown, involving all landowners associated to the project. The event gathered more than 35 people, and was a perfect occasion for the new owners of the Hornsdale Wind Farm to update all stakeholders on the status of the project and the evolution of the regulatory framework.
